  I went to buy copper pipes to replace some water lines I was fixing in a shower wall, I am not an expert regarding plumming and I noticed there were 2 label pipes and evendought they look the same to me I requested the help of the plumming associate to clarify what was the difference, they were class M and class L, the associate explained to me both were the same, that the only difference was that class M was 3/4 diameter and 4 feet long, class L was 3/4 diameter and 12 feet long and that I could buy anyone for my project, I was not convinced so I went online to investigate and learned the difference was in the thickness of the pipes, class M was for residential jobs and class L was for high pressure industrial installations, BIG DIFFERENCE. !!

  The customer service sucks at this Home Depot store. The employees walk around but rarely are they able to help. Today, I asked an associate for help but it wasn't her area so she called for someone else. After waiting 30 minutes I decided to leave. When I got to the self checkout to purchase the few items in my hand, the associate that called for someone to help me was working that area. She asked if anyone ever came to help. I told her no and she apologized. I made my purchase and left the store. I went down the street to Lowe's and had a completely different experience. I had multiple offers for help. Plus, Lowe's makes it easy to call for help because they have call buttons in all of the departments. Home Depot is like Walmart while Lowe's is like Target. The customer service at Lowe's is always great!
